From A to A*: Sofia's IGCSE Maths Journey at Raffles American School JB

Sofia needed A* in IGCSE Maths for the scholarship application to her target UK sixth-form college — an A was not going to be enough. She came to Teacher Rig eight months before the examination with a strong A-grade performance at Raffles American School JB. Her school followed the American curriculum primarily, and while her mathematical knowledge was strong, her Cambridge examination technique needed significant development. Over eight months we focused on Cambridge-specific skills: how Paper 4 questions are structured, what Cambridge markers reward, and how to handle unfamiliar question types without losing composure. Sofia's past paper scores moved from 76% to 91% over the eight months. She achieved A* in May/June and secured the scholarship she had been working toward.
