Step 1: There is 1 head out of 2 equally likely outcomes.

Step 2: P(heads) = 1/2.

Answer: ½

Step 1: There is 1 favourable outcome out of 6.

Step 2: P(5) = 1/6.

Answer: 1/6

Question 3 Solution

Step 1: Even numbers are 2, 4 and 6 — that is 3 outcomes out of 6.

Step 2: P(even) = 3/6 = 1/2.

Answer: ½

Question 4 Solution

Step 1: There are 4 red out of 10 counters in total.

Step 2: P(red) = 4/10 = 2/5.
