Step 2: You land on −2.

Question 3 Solution
Step 1: Subtracting a negative is the same as adding: 5 − (−3) = 5 + 3.
Step 2: 5 + 3 = 8.
Answer: 8
Question 4 Solution
Step 1: A negative times a negative gives a positive.
Step 2: 4 × 5 = 20, so the answer is +20.

Step 1: Falling by 9°C means subtract: 4 − 9.
